Classic Izakaya. Very friendly service, food nothing special but nice atmosphere. Guests mostly locals. Closed on Saturdays !!
Very popular Izakaya that is open from early in the morning! One point of caution for non-smokers, *smoking is allowed inside*
I had a standard lunch, but the wall is filled with highly appealing izakaya dishes!
Crowd Size: Very High
Serving Speed: Average
Payment Method: Cash Only
good!
Reasonable price. But too local for some foreigners maybe. Smoking allowed.
昔ながら🤩 …
A long-established popular restaurant and bar founded in the Taisho era in Kawasaki.
Open from 8:30 a.m., I visited just before 12:00 p.m., and it was already almost full, with a few customers drinking beer.
It's a public restaurant, so it's cheap and the portions are good.
Even in the Reiwa era, it's still as cheap as ever...and quite delicious.
The cutlet curry had a nostalgic feel, and the offal stew made me want to order a beer.
Next time I would like to visit it in a drinkable condition.
I visited right after it opened at 10am on a weekday. I thought there would be a few customers as it was just as the shop was opening its noren curtain, but the regulars were already enjoying barley shochu.
When you enter the store, you will be asked whether you are a smoker or non-smoker. I was not allowed to smoke and was guided to a table in the back.
It seems that 1/3 of the table seats in the store are non-smoking seats and 2/3 are smoking seats. It's a restaurant that retains a Showa era atmosphere, so the smoking rate is probably high. There is no partition even though it is called a smoking area. I was prepared to feel like smoking, but perhaps thanks to the recent popularity of electronic cigarettes, there were not many people who smoked cigarettes during the time I was there, so I didn't feel like smoking.
We snacked on pickled Chinese cabbage and vegetable tempura, and drank bottled beer. When I ordered Kirin Beer, it was lager instead of Ichiban Shibori. I like the Showa era feel. (I would have been even happier with the classic lager!)
As lunch approached, more and more customers started ordering set meals and rice dishes. It is also a public bar and a public restaurant. Nice, this kind of bar. I fell in love with her completely. I would like to visit you again.
THE Showa era izakaya.
We share seats, but there is no problem at all. As someone like me who likes quick drinks, there are two bars right in front of me, so I can go to various places quickly, which is helpful. It was delicious as usual. It would have been better if I could use electronic money.
